Bob and Jean: A Love Story
By Robert Schenkkan, Directed by Matt August
May 27 — June 15, 2025
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, who also lives in Sag Harbor, returns with his most personal work to date. Known for political epics like All the Way and The Kentucky Cycle, Schenkkan turns inward in Bob & Jean: A Love Story, a deeply intimate play drawn from the real letters his parents exchanged during World War II. What begins as a love story becomes something more: a portrait of memory, distance, and emotional truth, told with remarkable clarity and restraint.
Deceived
Based on the play GASLIGHT by Patrick Hamilton, Adapted by Johnna Wright and Patty Jamieson, Directed by Sheryl Kaller
June 24 — July 20
A psychological thriller for the modern age, Deceived brings new life, and urgency, to the classic story that gave us the term “gaslighting.” Set in the early 1900s but stripped down to a taut, four-character cast, this chilling adaptation honors the original’s eerie tension while reframing it through a fresh, contemporary lens. Directed by Tony nominee Sheryl Kaller, this is your mid-summer dose of intrigue, with a vintage twist.
Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical
Book by Ivan Menchell, Lyrics by Don Black, Music by Frank Wildhorn, Directed by Scott Schwartz
July 29 – August 24, 2025
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Scott Schwartz directs a bold, new staging of Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical, with music by Broadway legend Frank Wildhorn. Fueled by a genre-crossing score that swings from romantic ballads to rockabilly swagger, this production zeroes in on the raw, dangerous chemistry between two young lovers turned media icons. It’s a story about fame, desire, and the American obsession with outlaws, told with intensity, immediacy, and edge. Think less spectacle, more electricity and performed just feet from the audience, where every lyric lands like a shot.
