Mixed Media Collage

Campers explore creativity by combining different materials to create a one-of-a-kind collage. We experiment with paper, paint, and drawing materials while learning how to layer, cut, glue, and arrange their artwork. This class encourages imagination, texture play, and creative decision-making.

Fairy House Miniatures

Campers design and build their own fairy houses using locally foraged natural materials like sticks, shells, leaves, stones, and bark. Kids are encouraged to bring special “treasures” from home to personalize their creations. Through imaginative building and hands-on crafting, we explore nature, creativity, and storytelling while constructing a tiny home fit for fairies, with the option to participate in the Sands Point Preserve Fairy Festival in May of 2026.

Hot glue will be used for this project under strict supervision.

Origami Explosion Books

Campers learn how to fold and assemble an origami “explosion book” that opens to reveal layered pages and surprises inside. We practice paper folding, cutting, and decorating while customizing a book with drawings, patterns, and storytelling elements. This interactive project is both a fun engineering challenge and a creative keepsake.

Group Mosaic Mural Project

Based off of our beloved MLK Portrait Project produced with local High Schools, campers work collaboratively to create a large-scale mural made from individual canvases. Each child paints their own canvas, focusing on color, pattern, and imagery that fits into the overall design. When assembled, the canvases come together like a mosaic to form one big artwork—showing how individual creativity can combine to create something amazing as a group.
