Weather permitting, EHTPS conducts weekly Tuesday morning maintenance hikes, preparing for other hikes on our schedule and keeping as much trail as possible clear and blazed. No experience necessary, and new volunteers are always welcome. Bring a lopper, trimmer, or handsaw if available. Saturday June 13, 2026, at 10 AM.  Miller’s Ground, East Hampton (6 miles)   

Explore the Miller’s Ground woods, including Toyland, on this rambling hike through the high forested hills at Miller’s Ground, west of Route 114 and north of East Hampton Airport.  Hopefully we will catch the mountain laurel in bloom.  Along the way, see if you can identify the Sleeping Lion.  Meet at the Northwest Path trailhead, on the East Hampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike (Route 114) just south of Edwards Hole Road.  Bring snacks, liquids & tick protection. Thursday June 18, 2026, at 10 AM.  Toddler Hike, East Hampton.  (0.5 miles)

Join us for a relaxed toddler-paced hike along the paved loop trail at Boys and Girls Harbor Park. Enjoy the sunshine, get some morning energy out, and engage in nature play in an informal exploratory group setting.  Bring snacks, water, strollers, sun and tick protection. Geared toward toddlers, but all ages are welcome. Caregivers must accompany children.  Meet under the pavilion at 180 Springy Banks Rd., East Hampton. Rain or shine. Saturday June 20, 2026, at 9 AM.   Napeague Beach Hike (3+ miles)

Join us for a tick-free beach hike on Napeague Harbor and Napeague Bay with views of Gardiner’s Island, the Walking Dunes and marshland. You’ll see remnants of what was once an old fish factory. The sand surfaces vary from firm to rocky to soft. Wednesday June 24, 2026, at 2 PM. A Special Visit with Edwina von Gal: An EHTPS Members Only Experience limited to 25 EHTPS members. 

Landscape designer and Perfect Earth founder Edwina Von Gal will give us a private tour of Marshouse, her extraordinary personal gardens. Edwina will tell us about the Perfect Earth mission, and why natural, sustainable gardens have been the focus of her career. We will walk the boardwalk of her 11-acre property into Accabonac Harbor, an indescribable experience. Duration app. 2 hours.  Saturday June 27, 2026, at 10 AM. Northwest Woods/Grace Estate Preserve Loop, East Hampton.  (3 miles) 

Hike old woodlands cart paths dating back several hundred years to when Northwest Harbor was main port for the town.  We’ll hike Whalebone Landing to the beach to enjoy scenic views of Barcelona Point, Mashomack Point, and Cedar Point.  Then, walk along beach to the remains of the 1860s Kirk’s Place homestead. We’ll return through birch and oak trees on a section of the regional Paumanok Path route.  Meet at the metal gate entrance D to the Grace Estate Preserve, on the west side of Northwest Road, near Scoy Lane, and approximately 1/2 mile north of the Old Northwest Road/Northwest Road intersection.  Bring liquids and tick protection.  Duration: 90 minutes to 2 hours. Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 10 AM.  Alewife Brook/ Cedar Point Paddle, East Hampton

Paddle through the scenic twists and turns of Alewife Brook into Alewife Pond in Cedar Point Park. We will keep a lookout for osprey, cormorants, heron, egrets and more. Bring your own kayak or paddle board. Meet at the end of Alewife Brook Road, past the entrance to Cedar Point Park. An East Hampton Town parking permit is required.  Call if chance of rain.
