ANNOUNCEMENT

GUILD HALL & PETER PENNOYER ARCHITECTS

RECEIVE MCKIM, MEAD & WHITE AWARD

The Institute of National Architecture and Art recognized Peter Pennoyer Architects with the Commercial Civic and Institutional Architecture Award for their work on our renovation.

Our facility-wide Capital Improvements Project & Campaign included top-of-the-line physical and technological enhancements to better deliver our mission as an artist-driven, interdisciplinary institution. These comprehensive enhancements saw the structural and technological upgrade of Guild Hall’s grounds and near-century-old building—encompassing its museum, theater, education center, and administrative offices.

JULIAN SCHNABEL:

SELECTED WORKS FROM HOME TO CLOSE THIS WEEKEND

Gallery Hours: Friday to Sunday, 12-5 PM

Schnabel’s art evokes a deep yet elusive connection to humanity. The installation of his large-scale works within Guild Hall’s newly renovated galleries offers visitors an all-encompassing, contemplative experience—a rare opportunity to lose oneself in the artworks, their history, and their transformation —and to capture a sense of time suspended.

INSIDE LOOK

ARTISTS-IN-RESIDENCE: TIMOTHY WHITE EAGLE

As a 2024 Guild Hall William P. Rayner Artist-in-Residence, Timothy White Eagle gathered a collective of close collaborators, including Hatlo, Crystal Cortez, Olivia Komacheet, and DB Amorin, to realize a new piece titled Indian School.

Indian School is a poignant solo performance by Timothy White Eagle, delving into themes of cultural displacement and identity. Pulling together timelines from America’s ongoing projects of genocide and hydraulic engineering that reshape landscapes and relationship to land, White Eagle explores imperfect archives of family history and tactics of assimilation that separate us from understanding and belonging where we are now.
