I’m giddy!
It’s like the night before graduation, a wedding, or another landmark moment in life. It’s Summer 2024, and Guild Hall is fully open for the first time in four years. The storied Grande Dame of Main Street is alive with art, performance, and creativity, and you’re in the middle of it all. Do you see us when you turn onto Main Street? A shining beacon that welcomes you to stop in for a free exhibition or to pick up tickets for an unforgettable show. For almost 100 years, Guild Hall’s stage, galleries, and classroom have made art and theater history and lifelong memories.
This Friday, Emmy, Grammy, Tony, and Oscar Award winner, queer activist, and fashion icon Billy Porter takes the stage for a benefit concert to celebrate the opening of the Hilarie and Mitchell Morgan Theater. Did you know that Billy, besides all his other talents, is co-writing and starring in a forthcoming biopic on James Baldwin? See him on our beautiful stage with the best acoustics near or far, and you’ll tell your friends and family about this night for years to come. Tickets to the concert support Guild Hall.
Can’t make it (or can)? There are many ways to ensure Guild Hall stays central to your world.
The time we spend together in creativity and awe is what gives life meaning and connection.
As the saying goes, ARS LONGA, VITA BREVIS.
See you at Guild Hall?
Andrea
