Friends, On behalf of the Hampton Theatre Company and all who contributed their time and talent to our efforts this season – from our actors, directors and production staff to our volunteers, advertisers and sponsors – I want to thank you for your support in helping us deliver a truly memorable slate of 2023-24 stage productions to Quogue. Much appreciation to everyone who joined us for “Rose and Walsh,” “Strictly Murder” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” (pictured above), the latter of which closed our season this month with a musical bang. A huge shout-out to Don and Judy Gruhn, front row in our theater and hearts, to whom we dedicated this season. Thanks also to our June C. Ewing Producers Circle and all those who donated so generously to the HTC this past year. Without you, we simply can’t exist. With our landmark 40th season just around the corner, the Hampton Theatre Company remains committed to selecting plays we hope will entertain and even inspire audiences during the fall, winter and spring months. I’m pleased to announce our 2023-24 lineup, one we hope will meet with your approval (and attendance!). First up is “Now and Then,” a heartfelt comedy/drama that illuminates the life choices we all make (October 17 – November 3); “Boeing Boeing” (March 13 – March 30), a ’60s-era romp about a self-styled lothario juggling romance in Paris; and finally, “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” (May 22 – June 8), the Edward Albee masterpiece, with Andrew Botsford and Rosemary Cline marking their 40th season at HTC. In addition to these three full productions, we’ll be continuing a popular holiday tradition with the family-friendly “A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play,” a one-hour reading featuring many HTC cast members, which returns by popular demand from December 13-15, 2024. To deliver on our mission to present high-quality productions at modest ticket prices, we depend on our patrons not only to attend our shows, but to provide ongoing financial support. Ticket sales alone cover only 50% or less of costs, so we rely on the generosity of our Angels at the time of this June appeal and throughout the year to keep our theatre viable and vibrant. Donations may be made securely by clicking the donate button below or by sending checks directly to The Hampton Theatre Company, P.O. Box 400, Quogue, NY 11959. Tickets to next season’s shows – including attractive discounts for season subscribers – are available now by clicking the link below or by calling the box office at 631-653-8955. Again, many thanks from all of us at HTC for your role in ensuring a healthy future for our beloved theatre. Enjoy the summer … and here’s to celebrating HTC’s 40th season with us in the fall! All the best, |
