Cassian Schmidt, one of the global leaders in this research and the longtime director of Germany’s famed Hermannshof Gardens, will discuss the ecological and aesthetic potential of native and non-native dry habitat plant communities in regions ranging from the North American prairie to the Eastern European steppe.
