Art Pioneers: Women of Abstract Expressionism

Make Your Mark

How can you apply paint in experimental ways to create dynamic emotional effects? Discover how modern artists make their marks with unconventional tools, followed by a painting project. Bring paint supplies of: red, yellow, blue and white paint; a heavy weight paper, a mixing platform such as a coated paper plate, paint brushes, water, cups and paper towel and unusual painting tools such as sticks, forks, combs, rollers, and sponges.

Kusama’s obsessive and repetitive processes transport the viewer to a cosmic world of infinity. Her vast creativity includes sculpture, painting, performance, video art, fashion, and installation. Following the presentation, create an artwork that expresses your vision of infinity.
