Welcome to our third Community Newsletter, created to keep you informed and connected as we all navigate this “new normal.” This issue includes some health and wellness-related information. We’ve also updated the list of Montauk restaurants and food purveyors offering take-out and delivery. We’re grateful for our Montauk community and all of the essential workers, individuals, organizations, and businesses who are pitching in to support all of us. FREE MEDITATION AND MINDFULNESS RESOURCES
COVID-19 is a challenge to the mental health of all of us. Now, New Yorkers have a new free resource to help. In partnership with Governor Cuomo, Headspace is offering a variety of science-backed meditation, sleep, and movement exercises to help support New Yorkers during this challenging time. Learn more

Bettina Schuler of Ocean Healing Arts shares the following update on her practice: “During these unprecedented times of social distancing, I am now offering Tele-Health in lieu of in-person appointments. Dr. Lys of East Hampton Physical Therapy in Montauk shares this update on her office: “In these challenging times, physical and mental pain still need to be addressed, so we want to assure the Montauk community that we are still open to help in any essential recovery needs. Health and safety remain a top priority for our business and we’ve greatly reduced the number of patients seen and we are spacing patients apart inside the facility as well. MASKS FOR MONTAUK

Bonnie Brady initiated an effort in collaboration with East End Cares to create protective face masks for our Montauk EMS workers, essential workers, volunteers—and anyone in Montauk who needs/wants one. Donna Matlock (in photo) designed the mask template and, along with Joy Hear, is helping to organize the material gathering and the cutting/sewing with the help of a group of Montauk volunteer seamstresses.
