October Community Letter from Chairman Chip Duryea
Dear Friends,
The Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation’s mission represents the very best of what Montauk is today, and will be tomorrow. Our unique culture is centered around the water that surrounds us on three sides, providing recreation, relaxation and a livelihood for many. Our beautiful natural landscape has long inspired artists of every medium, offering a special place to create, reflect and recharge. The mission of our Foundation—to complete the Playhouse with an Aquatic and Cultural Arts Center— reflects and responds to us as a community and what we cherish most about our own local culture.
——————————
As we acknowledge the realities of shifting demographics and challenging economics, especially for our next generation of Montauk leaders, the need is greater than ever for the resources that an Aquatic and Cultural Arts Center will provide. Creating a unique gathering space with recreational, educational and cultural opportunities is critical to helping us retain and enrich the character of our Montauk community and to ensure our future.
——————————
We are a strong, diverse and proud community—united by our love of Montauk and our desire to make this special place the very best that it can be, today and for the generations to come.

Please show your continued support for our mission to bring an Aquatic and Cultural Arts Center to Montauk by donating today. Donate online at montaukplayhouse.org or call us at 631.668.1124 to discuss additional giving opportunities.
——————————
On behalf of the Playhouse Foundation’s Board of Directors, thank you for your generous support.

Sincerely,
Perry B. Duryea III, Chairman
