Long live the long-lived Montezuma cypress!
To restore the Montezuma cypress to its native southern Texas, TNC and partners are growing these magnificent trees. As their little seedlings grow, the trees may reach a massive scale and live for more than 1,000 years.

Water lilies gently sway on the serene waters of the River Wensum in eastern England. The area’s “chalk streams”—a globally rare type of waterway found mostly in England—provide a biodiverse habitat and a consistent water supply for the people of Norfolk. Amid increasing strains on these rivers, innovative new investments are aiming to safeguard clean, abundant water for people and nature.
