The Art of Happiness

What is happiness? Joyce Raimondo presents famous artworks by Matisse, Renoir, and other painters that express the joy of living. Following Joyce’s art presentation, participants are invited to draw or paint their own idea of what happiness means to them.

Paint the Sound: Music and Art

Wednesday, March 26, 2:00pm – 3:00pm (EDT)

How can you paint the rhythm of a drum or the sound of a piano? This live zoom tour and workshop will explore the ways in which modern artists such as Pollock, Matisse, Bearden, and others were inspired by the Jazz age. Following a presentation and tour of the barn studio, work alongside Joyce as she demonstrates techniques for creating abstract art inspired by music. Have paint, drawing, or collage supplies on hand.

Nature Inspiration

Discover how Impressionist painters William Merritt Chase and Childe Hassam, abstract expressionist painters Lee Krasner and Jackson Pollock and others were inspired by the natural beauty on Long Island’s East End. Then create your own painting inspired by nature. Have paint supplies on hand and optionally a photograph that inspires you.
