Our year-long series PARRISH USA250: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness kicks off with Life through Regeneration: Long Island’s History of Ecological Art and Care, exploring our responsibility to the various forms of life that sustain us. Featuring 11 artists with strong ties to Long Island and New York—including Scott Bluedorn, Jeremy Dennis, Maya Lin, Sara Siestreem, Michelle Stuart, and more—the exhibition showcases works that emerge from the intersection of ecological art, environmental action, and community.Museum Members are invited to the opening and all are welcome to join us for a panel conversation with artist Sara Siestreem and members of the Shinnecock Kelp Farmers, moderated by Scout Hutchinson, The FLAG Art Foundation Associate Curator for Contemporary Art.
