This Friday, step into the vibrant world of art with an engaging and lively panel of art advisors, curators, gallerists, and more as they open the art world to attendees. Discover what’s making waves in the world of art, what collectors are asking about, what always remains popular, and how anyone can engage with the world of art. The event will be moderated by Thad Davis, Contemporaries Circle Committee Member, and include an introduction by Chief Curator Corinne Erni, audience Q&A session, and light reception. Create art inspired by Museum exhibitions and works on view in this free Open Studio class for you and your family. Drop-in sessions are limited to 30 minutes and all ages must be accompanied by an adult. No advanced registration is required. Join us for a screening of the short film Giving Birth in America: Arkansas followed by a panel conversation with exhibiting artists Julia Chiang, Sam Moyer, and Every Mother Counts founder and president Christy Turlington Burns. Don’t miss your chance to experience FRESH PAINT: Lauren Halsey before the exhibition closes in one month! In collaboration with The FLAG Art Foundation, the Parrish presents a rotating series of single-artwork exhibitions on view in the Museum’s Creativity Lounge, each accompanied by two sets of interpretative texts. Interpretative texts for Halsey’s work—by Robeson Taj P. Frazier and the Parrish Teen Council ARTscope—are available on our website and at the Museum.

We are excited to share that Louis K. Meisel and Susan Pear Meisel have donated their Sagaponack Sculpture Field to the Parrish Art Museum! The sculpture field is home to 20 sculptures, including works by artists Audrey Flack and Kenneth Snelson. Louis K. Meisel says his objective is to continue the legacy of artists and support the Parrish Art Museum far into the future. To learn more, check out our recent Instagram post.
