ON VIEW | Charlotte Park: The Life of Forms in Color
NOW THROUGH MARCH 2, 2025
Be inspired by the vibrancy of Charlotte Park: The Life of Forms in Color, a survey comprising more than 70 paintings and works on paper. Overshadowed by the attention given to the work of her husband, James Brooks, Park kept a fairly low profile over the course of her career while painting some of the strongest and most brilliantly colored canvases of her time. The exhibition follows Park’s abstractions of color and form, inspired by organic life, from her diffident embraces of color from the mid-1950s through playful and assertive compositions in the 1980s.
