Join us for a live conversation about exhibition design with Brooklyn Museum’s Senior Curator of Fashion and Material Culture Matthew Yokobosky.

Yokobosky has designed nearly one hundred exhibitions, including the critically-acclaimed The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier, Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern, and Thierry Mugler: Couturissime.

This selection by Theresa Davis, Assistant to the Director, emphasizes the friendships, associations, and connections among the artists whose works are owned by the Pollock-Krasner House. Among the artists included are Hedda Sterne, Herman Cherry, James Brooks, Stanley William Hayter, and Lee Krasner, represented by her contribution to the Frank O’Hara memorial portfolio, “In Memory of My Feelings.”

Artist Carl Scorza presents his creative evolution over decades from plein air painting to complex works made in the studio manipulating photographic and other images with a computer. His recent works employ computer generated “collages,” inkjet printing, and traditional oil on canvas. Through ever changing processes, Scorza captures compelling images of East End beaches, city skylines, spectacular sunsets, and reflective still-lifes.

Joyce Raimondo, Education Coordinator, conducts a virtual tour of Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner’s barn studio. Then visitors virtually explore the current exhibition Crosscurrents: Selections from the Permanent Collection curated by Theresa Davis, Assistant to the Director. Focused on the art community around Pollock and Krasner, objects on display emphasize the many friendships, associations, and connections among the artists whose works are owned by the Pollock-Krasner House.
