Composition Speaks

Composition is the arrangement of the elements of art in a picture. Discover Pollock’s groundbreaking drip painting compositions, and Joyce will then guide you through composition exercises. Have on hand scissors, glue, and several papers for your pictures and assorted papers to cut and glue on.

Perspective Drawing

Architecture, buildings, streets, rooms, and more. How do you create the illusion of depth in a drawing? Learn the basics of one- and two-point perspective drawing that will improve your drawing skills in one session.

Supplies to have ready are: paper, pencil, sharpener, eraser, mirror, and ruler.

Express Yourself: Tour & Drip Painting

Thursday, April 4, 1:00pm – 2:00pm EDT

Joyce Raimondo will virtually guide visitors through Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner’s home and studio – a national landmark in East Hampton, New York. Participants discover creative ways Pollock and Krasner expressed their feelings with paint. Explore the art displayed in their home and the barn studio filled with paint splatters — evidence of their masterpieces.  Following the tour — work alongside Joyce as she demonstrates drip painting.

Have supplies on hand:

liquid tempera or acrylic paint in cups, sticks, and surface for your painting.
