There are just two weekends left to experience Southold Historical Museum’s special America 250th exhibits at the Maple Lane Campus and the Nautical Museum at Horton Point Lighthouse!

Step inside our historic buildings, explore the stories of Southold during the American Revolution, and discover the area’s fascinating maritime history, Saturdays and Sundays, through September 13. Admission is $5 per person or $10 per family and includes the historic buildings and special exhibits at Maple Lane Campus, plus admission to the Nautical Museum at Horton Point Lighthouse. Discover bargains, unexpected finds, and plenty of treasures at a community yard sale benefiting Southold Historical Museum on Saturday, September 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3105 Peconic Lane, Peconic.

Organized by Jay, Southold Historical Museum’s treasurer, the sale will feature a wide variety of items, with something new to discover around every corner. Best of all, every purchase helps support Southold Historical Museum and the preservation of local history.

Take a chance to win up to $1000 in Southold Historical Museum’s Summer Sweepstakes Fundraiser! Tickets are $60 and are now available for purchase online. The winning ticket will be drawn during BINGO Night on Friday, September 18, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. at Southold American Legion Hall. You do not need to be present to win.

Separate cost for Bingo if you choose to play.

One winner will be drawn for every 100 tickets sold. If fewer than 100 tickets are sold, the drawing will be held as a 50/50 raffle. Join us for BINGO and find out who takes home the sweepstakes prize!

Spend the day on the course while supporting Southold Historical Museum at the “History in the Making” Golf Tournament on Thursday, September 24, at North Fork Country Club in Cutchogue.

Golfers will enjoy a full day that includes green fees, cart, locker, driving range access, refreshments, a gift bag, dinner, drinks, contests, and prizes. Whether you’re playing for the competition or simply enjoying a day with friends and colleagues, it’s a great way to support the Museum.

Not a golfer? Join us for the evening with a Dinner-Only Package.

BINGO Night Returns to Southold Historical Museum!

Get ready for an evening of Bingo, prizes, refreshments, and plenty of fun with friends and neighbors! Southold Historical Museum’s popular BINGO Night returns Friday, September 18, at 5:00 p.m. at American Legion Griswold Terry Glover Post 803, 51655 Main Road, Southold.

Admission is $30 and includes a book of 15 Bingo games, a complimentary dauber, and a raffle ticket for door prizes. Additional Bingo books are available for $10.

The evening will also include the Summer Sweepstakes drawing, when one lucky winner could take home up to $1,000! Sweepstakes tickets are sold separately.

U.S. Coast Guard at Horton Point

A big thank you to the U.S. Coast Guard for their continued support of Horton Point Lighthouse, including servicing the lamp to help keep it shining at this historic landmark!

We’re also excited to welcome the U.S. Coast Guard Fairwinds and Idlers, the Cadet Chorale from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, for a special concert performance at Horton Point Lighthouse on Sunday, October 25, from 1:00–2:30 PM. Don’t miss the unique performance in a scenic setting!
