Fleece & Fiber Festival on May 18:
One of Long Island’s
Largest Celebrations of Fiber Arts and Crafts
————————–
Riverhead, NY (April 29) – Historic Hallockville Museum Farm on Long Island’s North Fork will host its annual Fleece and Fiber Festival on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Rain date: Sunday, May 19). The Hallockville Fleece & Fiber Festival is one of the largest celebrations of the fiber arts in the region and will feature dozens of fiber artisans showcasing their talents, demonstrating their traditional crafts, and selling their creations.
“We often describe the Fleece and Fiber Festival as an experiential arts and crafts fair that takes visitors through the lifecycle of fiber – from sheep to sweater – but visitors will also enjoy displays and demonstrations of quilting, weaving, basketweaving and more,” said Heather Johnson, executive director of Hallockville Museum Farm.
