The Dog Days of Summer Draw to a Close
Our grounds are beautiful in all seasons, and, as we approach Labor Day Weekend, it’s the perfect time to experience the outdoors at NCMA. Visitors will see the latest addition to the grounds: our two canine guardians of the formal garden are newly reinstalled! Meet “Monty” by Wheeler Williams, fiberglass cast from original porcelain model.

Artist’s Talk
Ben Schonzeit
Ben Schonzeit, American painter, sculptor and multi-disciplinary artist will share his inspiration and process of creating his extraordinary photorealist paintings using a sphere of photographic and found material which employ a myriad of different mediums and visual techniques. Schonzeit’s works are included in prominent collections around the world including The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin, The Basel Kunstmuseum, The Denver Art Museum, and The Brooklyn Museum.
