In conjunction with her solo exhibition, to reverberate tenderly, artist sonia louise davis invites musicians Rena Anakwe, Sarah Galdes, and Sugar Vendil to improvise with her three steel instruments, or sounders, for the second of two performances in the gallery space. Performers will use percussion, string, voice, and other experimental techniques to respond to the exhibition’s multi-sensory environment and davis’ large-scale mural, score for Queens Museum (2023). This performance will be followed by a talkback with the artist and collaborators.

En combinación con su exposición en solitario, to reverberate tenderly («reverberar con ternura»), la artista sonia louise davis invita a lxs músicxs Rena Anakwe, Sarah Galdes y Sugar Vendil a improvisar con sus tres instrumentos de acero, o sounders, en la segunda de sus dos actuaciónes en el espacio de la galería. Lxs intérpretes utilizarán percusión, cuerda, voz y otras técnicas experimentales para responder al entorno multisensorial de la exposición y al mural a gran escala de davis, score for Queens Museum (2023).

Please join Emilie L. Gossiaux and Sarah Cho, Assistant Curator, in celebrating Gossiaux’s exhibition Other-Worlding. Gossiaux and Cho will discuss Gossiaux’s practice, inter-species relationships, the deep recesses of imagination, access and touch as love, and everything in between. This program will also be accessible via livestream. Please check the stream at 3:00pm on the day of the program.

After a four-year hiatus, the City Reliquary Museum returns to Queens Museum to host the largest NYC-themed trivia game, taking place at The Panorama of the City of New York at the Queens Museum. Teams of Panorama Pros and Panorama Challengers get quizzed on all things NYC using the Panorama as a massive game board. The winning Pro team will join the ranks of past winners when its name is etched on the Panorama Challenge Trophy housed at the Queens Museum. 

Después de una pausa de cuatro años, el City Reliquary Museum regresa al Queens Museum para organizar el mayor juego de preguntas y respuestas con temática de la Ciudad de Nueva York, que tendrá lugar en El Panorama de la Ciudad de Nueva York del Queens Museum. Los equipos de Panorama Pros y Panorama Challengers se pondrán a prueba con todo lo que tiene que ver con la Ciudad de Nueva York tomando el Panorama como tablero de juego gigante.
