Animal Ambassador Storytime: Walking Stick

Join a children’s librarian from Quogue Library for a special story hour, including a simple craft and a special visit from one of our ambassador animals. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Getting Started with Native Plants (Virtual)

Live Birds of Prey!
Saturday, April 13^th, 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM

Join us to meet our resident raptors in person! During this program, you will learn about native Long Island raptor species, where they live, and how you can help protect them. Learn about their diets, habitats, and physical adaptations that make them excellent hunters.

Please arrive before start of program. For adults and families with children age 6 and older. Reservations and pre-payment necessary, as space is limited. $10.00 per person, $5.00 per child under 10.

Full Moon Night Hike
Tuesday, April 23^rd, 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Celebrate the full moon with a guided hike through the forest up to North Pond as we look and listen for nocturnal creatures, and enjoy some night vision activities under the light of the moon.

Reservations and payment required at least 24 hours in advance. A program for adults and families with children over 9. $10.00/ members, $20.00/non-members.

Spring Wildlife Camp

Tuesday, April 23^rd through Friday, April 26^th,
:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Register your child for a great experience of wildlife, education, and fun! Each day will include a hike, a craft, and meeting animals. Please dress your child for the weather and send an individual snack & drink in reusable containers each day. A program for children in grades K – 5th.

Registration and payment required in advance. $280.00 for the four-session program.

Earth Day Celebration
Saturday, April 27^th, 12:00 PM- 3:00 PM

Come and celebrate nature and our lovely planet at the Refuge! The day will include guided birding walks, live animal presentations, crafts, environmental exhibitors, and self-guided kayaking and canoeing on Old Ice Pond. Bring old electronics for recycling. This celebration is offered by Eastern Long Island Audubon Society & Quogue Wildlife Refuge.

A great day for all ages! No reservations necessary. Rain or shine.
