DORIAN & THE DAYS BEFORE – Tomorrow is the last day of this exhibition of Father’s Chairs (a sculpture from the play The Days Before: DD&D III), video art and new drawings that Bob made for his acclaimed theater production of Dorian. On view at Galerie Beck & Eggeling, Düsseldorf, Germany, until July 23.
BLACK & WHITE; TRIBAL ART MEETS DRAWINGS – At one of Berlin’s leading tribal art galleries, Bob has paired his drawings with selected objects from African cultures such as the Agnis people, the Chamba people, the Kpelle people and many others, making for a unique exhibition of contrasting and complementing combinations. On view at Galerie Dogon, Berlin, Germany, until August 27.
THE DEATH OF MARAT – Robert Wilson’s eponymous video portrait, featuring Lady Gaga, which premièred 2013 at the Louvre in Paris, re-imagines David’s famous painting on a video screen. On view on a giant 85” screen at The Royal Museum in Brussels, Belgium, until August 7.
THE NIGHT BEFORE THE DAY – Reflecting the recent years, which have been dark times for many, Bob curated a selection of his works from the past three decades in an installation at Espace Muraille in Geneva, Switzerland, until September 3.
A BOY FROM TEXAS – The works in this exhibition have a distinct connection to Bob’s childhood in Texas. He created them with the Corning Museum of Glass, and they are on view at Cristina Grajales Gallery, New York, until September 9.
MOVING PORTRAITS – The first large exhibition of Bob’s video portraits in several years opened recently in Australia, to an enthusiastic response from both audience and press.
