Although small farms have been disappearing all across the country on the East End we are fortunate that more small farms continue to open. Most, like 8 Hands Farm are family businesses owned by people passionate about growing better foods in sustainable ways and getting the fruits of their labors to our tables. This is not easy work and the challenges for our farms call for our ongoing support and recognition of their importance to our community.
