BEREAVEMENT AND ART WORKSHOP

This special workshop is given during the Holidays — this season can be especially difficult for people who are grieving.

Joyce Raimondo leads an informal presentation about how artists express grief through painting. A discussion of Lee Krasner’s paintings following Jackson Pollock’s untimely death are discussed along with artists Edvard Munch, Pablo Picasso, and others. Each artwork serves as a springboard for discussion and participation is welcomed. This program is inspired, in part, by Joyce’s loss of her brother as a teenager and the discovery of an enormous strength she found through art.
