2024: A YEAR OF PROGRESS

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This year, we’ve witnessed the remarkable transformation of our dream into reality. Our latest video takes you on an inspiring journey through the construction of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora, North Dakota.
Starting with the pouring of the concrete foundations earlier this year, watch as the structure rises from the ground in a stunning time-lapse sequence captured by our aerial photography. This month marks an exciting milestone: the roof’s insulation and membrane have been installed, and now our teams are turning their focus to the interior spaces that will bring Theodore Roosevelt’s legacy to life.
One standout feature is the breathtaking 27-foot rammed earth wall, which beautifully connects the spirit of the Badlands to the heart of the Library. This extraordinary element not only reflects Roosevelt’s love for nature but also brings the rugged beauty of the landscape indoors in a tangible, awe-inspiring way.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has generously supported this monumental project. Your commitment makes it possible to honor Theodore Roosevelt’s legacy and create a space that inspires leadership, conservation, and citizenship for generations to come.
PARTNERSHIP WITH NDSU
🌾 Restoring the Prairie, Honoring the Legacy 🌾
Discover how the Native Plants Project at the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library is bringing Theodore Roosevelt’s conservation legacy to life!In collaboration with North Dakota State University and the Hettinger Research Extension Center (HREC), this initiative is cultivating over 60,000 native seedlings for the Library’s living prairie roof and other restoration efforts near Medora, ND.
Dr. Ben Geaumont and his team are hard at work, turning locally collected seeds into thriving plants that reflect the biodiversity of the Dakota grasslands Roosevelt loved. This effort isn’t just about landscaping; it’s about restoring ecological balance and creating sustainable opportunities for the future.
“By collaborating with the library and contractors, [Dr. Geaumont] is not only growing local genetic material that is not commercially available elsewhere but also cultivating a lasting legacy of sustainability and ecological balance,” said Amy McCann, Community Relations Director.
